Hey guys,

I'd like to know if it is possible to have all versions of Windows from 98SE to XP Pro on 1 DVD.

It would be really nice to just carry around a single bootable disc that I could use to install whatever version of Windows the customer already has.

I'd like to have some sort of menu system if possible.

1: Windows 98SE
2: Windows ME
3: Windows XP Home
4: Windows XP Pro
9: Boot to Command Prompt

Something along those lines.

Of course this would be used ONLY for legit reasons. I'd only be installing whatever was on their system. THose damned "restore" discs can suck my left nut, and the "hidden partition" can suck my right nut.

So, how would I do this?

Those aren't all going to fix on your standard 80min CD. You'll need a dvd for all that.

well in stead of just pointing out the odvious i'll try to help.

You would need to create your own boot loader and select the OS you wanted...I just downloaded Hiren boot CD6 (I think thats the spelling) and that think has a custom boot loader....I can call up everything from partition magic to old dos based tools to repair whats wrong.

Kroz: Now point out the obvious. It may be obvious to you, but not to me. Unless you were gonna be a smartass and say "Who needs Win98SE these days?" ;)

I was refering to 1152Drumlove who instead of trying to help was just pointing out someone elses mistake.

I still have win98SE on one of my machines, it is sitting over in the corner decrypting keys as I speak.

It's possible, there are copies floating around the internet that have ALL versions of windows on 2 dvds. But I'm not sure how feasible it is to make your own.

Who uses Win98SE these days??? :D

I'm sure it's just a matter of creating a menu that allows you to choose which "boot image" you'd like to load. I used to have a working menu that allowed me to boot the DVD and choose which ghost image to load. I'm looking for that disc now.

there are multi-boot cds like that that fit on a normal cd, but its only 3 versions of XP, and office and some other thing
