need help with Powerbook G3 (bronze)

It’s rather odd (at least to me). I can power it up about once a month. For the rest of the time, when I plug it in, the sleep led stays solid, and the unit is rather dead. If I press the reset button, the sleep led shuts off, and the unit is still dead. I’ve noticed that when I plug it in, if the led only gives a single flash, the unit will turn on.

I’m rather stumped at the moment. Anyone else heard of this before (or something similar)?

When it powers on, have you tried resetting the PROM? (hold down the following four keys at the same time for several seconds while powering on your system: APPLE, OPTION, p, r).

I’ll give it a shot the next time it powers up. At this point, I’m willing to try just about anything to get it running again.
