Just bought myself one of these babies

Congrats on the drill! I bought my dad the Ryobi kit for father's day. He really likes it.

for cordless i generally go makita, but i dont know much of ryobi. i just figure i cant go wrong with those who havent let me down yet.

good luck to you :)

Real drills run on 120 V., that's why there's plenty of wallsockets in my garage.

ryobi is good stuff. my dad has a cordless 18v ryobi...good drill

Milwaukee = 300$

Mine = 100$

Dremel = no torque

Drill = torque

Panasonic Cordless all the way but then i need that for work so yeah its not worth a cheap home handyman drill for a worksite lol

nice drill though take care of it and it will take care of u

I LOVE my 18v Craftsman. We got my father in law teh 19v craftsman for fathers day, it's tight.

Congrats on the drill.

Over the years I have used ryobi, milwaukee, makita, hilty, dewalt, and B&D and dewalt is by far the best I have ever used hilty is a very close second but they stoped making cordless drill because there was to much compitition. Iv had my current dewalt for over 2 years and I use it about 10+- hours a week and need to charge it daily and it is still going strong in that time my brother has had a ryobi and 2 milwaukees all 3 have batteries that wont charge anymore and one milwaukee has had a new case because it was droped from 5 feet and shattered. Also torque the dewalt can drill a 2" hole real fast through 2 2x4s alot better than any other drill. As for corded drills Milwaukee Dewalt and makita OWN!!

that's a hammer drill.. i hope you take hammer off when you drill into your care. :eek:

lol... yes it has a switch for that 99% of the time its off... but every now and then whenever i have to drill into concrete or cinder blocks or something, its great...

but ya for case modding its off... unless i start getting real pissed at a case..... ;)

My dad has worked in construction for over 20 years and he brings home tools after a job is done because they will simply throw them away. We've got several milwaukee, makita, hilty, and dewalt drills including some cordless models. I'd have to agree that dewalt makes some badass power tools.

They're not "easy" on thier tools on the job site... ;)

Seriously FLECOM why the hell do you use a hammer drill for everyday stuff? No mercy eh? :eek: Gotta love those hammer drills. :D

Psst! FLECOM how's the duallie board running? :)

I'll never ditch my Milwaukee or DeWalt drills

I know, I have 2 DeWalt drills and they are really nice. Batteries are pretty long lasting also.:D

i have a SEARS 120vac drill..hahahaha... my dad must have bought it onsale or something... actually works nice... powerful torque and never failed me before... i use it for practically everything..... i use it with dremel bits too, heheh... but its not that fast tho

whats the diff between a regular ddrill and a hammer drill?

I've had an 18v Ryobi drill for years, beat the piss out of it too, still works fine. I've got a Dewalt hammer drill for bigger jobs and a Dewalt mini for small stuff. Not to mention a bunch of corded stuff.

i know ;) that exact drill was my best friend earlier this year :D

i have the 9.6V "uzi" Makita drills.. i love the way these feel when you hold them, for nice light work, but they are kinda weak.

i also recently bought a PAIR of 14.4V 1/2" and 3/8" MAKPRO cordless drills..

all my cordless equipment is Makita, and i have quite a few, along with some powered miter saws, jig saws, and reciprocating. I have a Milwaukee circular from and Milwaukee power drill, which are getting pretty old. though, my tools are all getting old (almost 10 years), and i haven't had to buy new ones in such a long time

lifetime warranties and quality products are great :cool:
