Yeah, I run a pharmacy. We spend a great deal of time billing Medicare and 3rd parties for strips, lancets, meters, control solution and everything. Pain the butt. :)

However, it's important for the people.. so...

ok, if you could send me about 300 oxycontin 350mg that would be great, pm for shipping info

Hah... real funny.

But yes, it's fun times,I'm about disgusted with Medicare, all their modifiers and end dates and ARG! it's frustrating. I do however, enjoy these 3rd party ins companies, the most thats ever required is an auth! :p

Ya...it was a joke, I just order all my meds off of the web. By this time I already know what is wrong with me and what to do about it. Anyway, my grandma is a diabetic because her diet was poor...just like most of the lower type diabetics

Another diabetic here. Diagnosed with Type 1 when I was 5. Scary thinking about how many shots I've done....getting up towards 20,000 now.

Yeah, Medicare is a pain. They also like to switch modifiers.. without telling anyone! Then they.. for example.. switch valid ICD-9's for say.. NaCl solution.. without telling anyone. It's absolutely ridiculous.

Yessir, I get more and more frustrated with them every day! We are actually doing something the past month here at the office, we've been taking chapters of the Medicare manual and reading them aloud and discussing each chapter weekly, next week is Methods of Pricing! =X
It's fun, but annoying. They do love to switch things around though, dont they. I also love how they added on an NU modifier on strips but not lancets, and why strips need an NU modifier (as if we're going to sell used strips) and lancets don't. They make no sense. One question for you though. Is it HIPPA, or HIPAA? ;) We had alot of fun discussing this one this week, for example, Chapter 10, Electronic Data Interchange, pag 6 of revision 37 of this section.
"HIPPA IVR Status 1-800-470-9630, OPTIONS 3, THEN OPTION 8:
To obtain the status of AdminiStar Federal HIPAA Activities, choose from the following:"

They don't even know which one it is! XD

Incanus...
Medicare Part B covers insulin for pumps...aren't the Medicare HMO's supposed to also? Mine tells me to appeal in order to get what they're supposed to cover...it sucks.
