Well...
I can´t understand i thing...
Look...

Athlon XP2000+ 12.5x133
Geforce FX 5900se 400/700

3dmark2001: 11500
3dmark2003: 4450

Then i overclocked then....

Athlon @XP2200+ 12.5x144
Geforce FX 5900se 460/830

3dmark2003: 5260
3dmark2001: 11500

...

How... can this be possible... just the same score?
i used the last evga drivers (56.56)

Overclocking doesnt ALWAYS improve scores.. It can even make them go DOWN. However, I agree that it is wierd that your '03 mark went up but your '01 mark stayed exactly the same.. Hmmm.. I'll have a think! lol.

maybe nvidia's newest benchmark cheat drivers are bugged

sorry i couldnt resist ;) that really is odd though. have you tried leaving your card at stock speed and just o/c fsb for 3dmark2k1? does the score stay the same or only when you o/c your vid card?

It looks like your refresh rate is locked. Are you using Reforce or someother 3rd party utility to lock refresh rates?

Those scores do seem a tad bit low. when i used my athlonxp 2700+ @ 2.3ghz and 5900xt, i got nearly 16000 points in 01. my best in 03 was around 5800.

I have heard that heat on some of the other components can make performance worse.

I agree, but there should have been SOME increase regardless.

oops, didn't see him OC the CPU too. :S

whats an XP2000? 1.67Ghz?
2200 = 1.8Ghz? Yeah you should be seeing around a ~5% increase.

Need more info...which mobo?, will it do 4x /8x? sdram or ddrsdram? pc2100? pc2700?.
All these are fairly pertinent . particularly with your ram.
3d2001se is a real fsb whore and by lowering your multi and upping your fsb will often increase your score dramatically even though your actual mhz are similar to what you're doing now...lemme know:)

Perhaps your score is limited to the pixel shader of your gfx card which doesnt change with the OC.

Still seems CPU bound to me. Did you change the RAM frequency? You could have gained a little extra clock speed, but if you lowered the RAM speed, that would bring you down too.
