I think that was what it was called. There was a time two years ago when that consumed every thread in this cases forum. Awesome case, just never got off the ground, though I never did remember why (i assume production cost). Search is broke, so no way to see if there's a thread. Stiltner was the main guy behind it, pretty sure he still hangs out here. Good guy too, even anodized one of my old Lian-Li's for me. Ahh, just remembering the glory years, as i approach my 3 year anniversary here the [H] :).
 
It was the Cold Forge so-trickcomputers bought the rights to the case I beleive. They even have a page up that says they will have updates, however the only thing that ever changes is the date of the next update. So basically there is no info. Maybe Robert from So-trick would be kind enough to give us an update.
 
Alright, I'm interested in seeing what all the fuss is about. Anyone got a pic? Any pic of it will suffice :)

Or a link.
 
heh think the biggest monster of a industrial looking case ever made out of 1 mill aluminum. Mother board tray was flipped 180 degs upside down to aid in cooling in a wtx like fasion infact the case was wtx compatible. (backwards compatible with atx) I may have a pic or be able to find one for you. Might take a while though.

i have alot to do before it's ready for Prime time.

New Prototypes to build and New Versions to get Done.

When everything is ready to go , i will lay it all out!

maybe Uller will release LCDriver2 with Cold Forge ;)

i have a lot of respect for all the old modders that are on here wayyy too little...

this message board hasnt been the same without you GigaHz and Uller and Kitty and many others that i cant remember
 
maybe it's just me but it seems that project has been dead since the beginning :D

time to move on peoples :D

I know what the problem with it was though....it wasn't custom enough. :D needs moar spider case hehe

Naw Qtip, It is still very much alive.
Here is something to look forward to, the CF will also have a little brother and also an even smaller brother.

Right now it is taking longer, as there is still work being done on the magazine and the cases.
I am sure if you guys get a CF, it will be the best case for the money.

Remember it will be better to support the small guys, other then supporting the big guys, that steal our ideas!!

I know I will be getting one, as it all started here on the big [H]

A lot of work and time has gone into the planning of the cases.
Who knows I may show a full modded CF at the next show.

since we're on the topic of things that haven't apperaed yet.. and Rob might know something about...

whatever happened to that case modding magazine where you got 1 free sample, and was like supposed to be 200 pages?

yeah i remember the magazine its been what over a year? hell i moved since i requested my magazine.

i am curious as to what happened to all of the old members. kitty, stiltner, jesder, allurbasearebelongtous....after they removed general mayhem, everybody just disappeared....kind of odd.
 
i dont think it was so much genmay, as they left before genmay bit the dust...

i think it was more that they didnt get the credit that they deserved for what they helped start... and then we got a giant influx of "omfg i got this l33t Tt case ph33r me"

meh... i know all the mods that i worked really hard to do back in the PII days that would be "stupid" or "not original" now, but back then... they were... a neon and a window in a case was a really big deal... and rounded cables were made by hand etc...

last time i saw any of those people has been like, maybe 2+ years ago

I left before genmay went poof as well mainly do to fact hard forum is hard to keep up with (lots of replies to threads). So once email notices of replies was turned off i couldnt keep up. I use to use the name nova but the name data base clean up got my account now it would seem some one else signed up as nova and the name is no longer avail for me. O well no biggy.

How very true.. I remember jumping into the scene just as it was taking off. It's amazing how so much has changed over the last 5 years. I used to post here often but now I troll as my time is limited.
 
I remember a case called the U2-UFO......it was the same size as the CF, also made of aluminum, and IMHO, I think it looked better as well. But, as stated earlier.....the search engine here is DOA so you'll have to try google to find one. I think Neccessary Evil got one.......if he's still lurking around here maybe he can remind us where to buy one. :D

This brings back memories. That was about the time I was on [H]. Now i'm back as some cheeze.... :(
 
Most of us "OLD" guys still come here and check it out, as we still love Kyle and the big [H].
For the most part all the old guys hang out over at http://www.pheatonforums.com/forum/

Now on to the CF and his little brothers, from what I can tell you,
for the most part the CF is ready for market, they just needed some $$$ investors. Same thing with the mag. As of right now things seem to be falling together real good. GIGAHZ is getting ready to move to big "D", We are looking at buildings for office space, the mag is looking good, the cases are looking good and everyone is working real hard. With fingers crossed, I hope we don't have any more slow downs. (Cuz I am jobless as of last week)
