Seems that newegg and Amazon both got the ASUS 970 here in this morning....that last all of 15 minutes. Atleast according to nowinstock.net

Anyone know how long on average it has taken for Amazon to get more Asus 970s in? Last time they had it in was 2 days ago...

I'm considering this card, and I plan on getting a Corsair 250D. It seems that the full size Gigabyte card will fit though? So, is this ITX not necessary in the 250D? What do I gain?

So should this push the price of a 760 GTX down?

Mining with a GPU is already pretty pointless. The difficulty has increased too much and now ASIC farms dominate. Most people actually lose money farming, because it increases your electricity bill than you actually earn mining.

I seem to be the only one who cares about the 760ti. I'm getting old I guess!

Going to enjoy my Haswell + 760ti. long over due upgrades!

Thanks for the great feedback everyone, I'm still fiddling around with my build though as I wanted to keep it in the $600 range. Maybe it's just not time to build it yet though, but I was seduced by Hyperthreading on the E3-1230v2, instead of the E3-1220v2, so that bumped the build up $60 alone...

First of all, the purpose of my lab is mostly for spinning up linux boxes, virtual routers and firewalls (and maybe some W2k12 DCs). My priority is not to learn and test all that the VMware eco-system has to offer, although, maybe one day I would like to do that. This is for misc labbing, and...

only if you consider built-in backdoors on security appliances "cool stuff" ;) But it is neat you get to have all them talking in a lab environment.

What "next gen" Firewalls are you running? I've been using some checkpoint virtual firewalls on EC2, but I'm curious of what you're running in a VMWare environment.

Cisco 3550. An Oldie but a goodie.
