it's the open/close sensor...where ever that is. I don't know. changed the cable to the screen and the inverter. I think nothing is wrong with either. When I have the screen at like a 45 degree angle it'll turn on.

Just a thought. Can I just install Windows 7 on my new SSD just to get it bootable on the laptop and then overwrite all the data on the drive doing a simple copy & paste from the source drive? Or am I missing the big picture where this wouldn't work?
