Is using "Infinity Cache" for Navi 2X a good move?

Repeat after me: "I donno how this woks, but I like to pretend I do!" :ROFLMAO:

Will the 5900X or 5800X be your next gaming CPU?

Well, us, enthusiasts upgrade for less than that. Remember when Intel was the only contender? Folks would upgrade for 3%~5% better performance and, albeit questionable, more overclocking potential. AMD might have four threads per CPU with Zen 4 amongst other things. They're like the NVIDIA of...

Will the 5900X or 5800X be your next gaming CPU?

Marketing Voodoo shenanigans. AMD went from 3000 series to 5000 series because it sounds and looks better than 4000 series. The higher number and skipping a generation indicate magical levels of performance gain... Shut up and take my money, AMD! I have serious doubts that it will be "that...

AMD Zen 3 Launch Event Discussion

AMD should price the 5950X at $999, just for the hell of it. The TRX40 platform is already priced in enterprise/commercial territory. We live in a world where $500 motherboards are now considered mid-range. If you want the decked out, nicely decorated mobo, you better fork over $750~$800. The...

So, apparently MOSTLY everyone needs to return their RTX 3080 / 3090 because of "cheap" components. I'm def returning my EVGA 3090.

Nah, it's actually planned obsolescence. Even they can't predict the future that accurately, otherwise, we wouldn't see a screw up every so many generations. Basically, they need their customers to keep upgrading.

You're absolutely right. I've been buying reference cards for a few years now, with a few EVGA GPUs sprinkled here and there. It's actually sad when the reference design is so much better than whatever AIBs have to offer.

Well, this is what happens when manufacturers and AIBs take advantage of the good faith of their customers. I bet everyone used every single leftover and/or overstock component they had laying around to build these GPUs. The demand is such for these GPUs that most will just be happy to get their...

    Who is buying a 3090?

Congrats, I guess? I don't know, I'll wait for a Founder's Edition to become available. If I'm giving up the 2080Ti SLI setup then at least I want something nice in my 3970X system.

That's like $1799+tax+shipping... ouch. I can't get over the fact that when you turn the card the front and back look like clown lips:

    Who is buying a 3090?

You're absolutely right, and then there is also the shareholder aspect and stock price. "Look how insane the demand for our product is!" - that pushes share prices up. To get the big picture you have to look at their share price over the past 6 months to a year a least. Jensen Huang wants to...
