I would like to see a front USB-C connector. Agree on the whole sans fans and RGB controller too. Would be nice to have a cheaper option without that stuff. Otherwise, looks great. Count me interested.

I had this problem too until I found the "cover the pins" trick. I used a very small piece of electrical tape. I also wrapped the tape ever-so-slightly to the other side (but without covering the pins on the other side) to make sure it stayed in place while inserting the card into the slot...
I was hoping for an easy utility that could modify parameters of the drive but after further research, I think it's more involved than that. It looks like I need a 232 to TTL adapter and connect it up to the extra pins next to the data cable on the drive. Seems doable if I get the adapter but...
Windows 7. I'm using the SAS ports on my Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard if that helps. The Seagate Tools software works with the drive OK but doesn't appear to have the ability to change parameters. Probably because turning off offline scanning would void the warranty but I don't care about that.
