    If you just want/need it to work, go with Modem -> GWifi -> Switch and let the GWifi handle the routing/dhcp like it is designed to. No extra config needed.

    It should probably be Modem -> GWifi -> switch -> wired network.. That way GWifi handles all the routing. Hard wire your switch (or router in bridge mode) to the GWifi.

    Wow, default install of Ubuntu 18.04 does this exact thing. Press Windows key, type 'Spotify', then click to install it.

    Agree with the others that hosting locally isn't a great idea. For something like this I would probably go with Google's Compute Engine, it has a free tier that should handle it just fine.

    Ubuntu issue.

    I had a similar issue with an already installed version of ubuntu. I would log in and it would loop back to the login screen after failing. It turned out to be bad nvidia drivers for the video card. Uninstalled them and things started working again.

    I prefer Deluge for a linux torrent client. It works quite well for creating torrents.
