Yeah the first few textures are a joke. I thought it was my drivers or something but turns out the text textures in the beginning are only really bad

To display Doom 3 in Widescreen mode, or in fact at any other custom resolution, you will need to use the r_mode -1 command and then enter the screen height and width in the r_customheight and r_customwidth settings. E.g. r_customwidth 1280 r_customheight 720 will give the correct aspect ratio...

I knew about the Omega and DNA drivers but has anyone heard one these drivers? http://www.rage3d.de/catalyst_vergleich_eng_p3.php I just searched for DNA drivers and the search result came up with this site Theres like six drivers total. It looks like the DNA is pretty good too.

Why do people use the Gigabyte bios to flash the X800 then go to the Ati x800 XT bios? Does it overclock better or something, does it give more voltages to the card? What does it do?

I agree with all of the posts in this. Except how come no body mentioned PoP2? I thought PoP was one of the best games I've played, although it was short, it was suweet!

Engine topic is game related in my opinion. Just as car engines are related in racing. I can't imagine Max Payne without the Havok engine. It wouldn't be fun without the Havok. It's like Sate said it's all about feel~~~
