Asus MITX AM3 in stock at newegg

What's with all the AMD mITX boards only having SO-DIMM slots? The J&W MINIX 890GX-USB3 seems a bit more interesting to me as well.

    GA-H55N-USB3 & i5 750

It fits just fine but you need it to be rotated correctly in order for it to not block the PCIe slot. Now... I'm not exactly sure what case you'd be using the H55N-USB3 and the 212+ plus with.

    GA-H55N-USB3 & i5 750

I'm probably going to pick up a Scythe Shuriken. I simply need some silence. The stock Intel HSF is way too loud. I would grab the Samuel 17 but it's no where to be found right now and the AXP-140 would be the way to go but I have zero plans to overclock this system. Oh and the Shuriken is $40...

Samuel 17 Cooler: USA & CAD

The AXP-140 fits inside the SG05/06 but you need a slim fan. The problem is tracking one down from a source you trust and who isn't gouging on the price. I find it very hard to part with $70 for the one on Amazon. I'm glad there is at least a place to buy the Samuel 17 at this point. I was...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

Redid the cable routing in the case last night before work. After work I fired up Bad Company 2 to see if it helped. Played a full round (30 minutes~) with zero problems with cover off. Placed cover on paying careful attention to any potential wires that might be getting clipped. Then played BC2...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

I'll check that out. None of the Gigabyte utilities seem to report the temperatures of the phase or northbridge, however. Worth noting that the shut downs seem to only occur when the case cover is on. I just finished doing the cabling and flipping the PSU so it's sucking in cool air. Maybe...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

Hmm, weird issue. Built my SG05 based rig yesterday. Core i5 750 + H55N-USB3 + HD5770. Using the stock 300W PSU and using stock Intel heatsink for now. Now... I had a series of random shutdowns. My first thought of course was heat. I thought the Intel heatsink wasn't up to the task (I noticed...

    [YourNewCase] SUGO ... 5! GO!

I have a SG05 on order from Newegg. I'll be putting a Gigabyte H55N-USB3 and Core i5 750 along with a HD5770. I'm left with two decisions I need the make before I order the motherboard and CPU. 1. Heatsink. I won't be overclocking and my main goals are comfortable temperatures and silence. Any...

    HTPC/Gaming Build (H55N-USB3 w/ AXP-140 Cooler) *pics*

Did you get an opportunity to listen to the stock 120mm front fan before replacing it? I'll be ordering the rest of the parts on Tuesday and throwing in another fan is fine. Do you have the 1200rpm Scythe Slim running at that speed at all times?

    HTPC/Gaming Build (H55N-USB3 w/ AXP-140 Cooler) *pics*

Brilliant work! I've just ordered the SG05. I'm also going to be picking up a H55N-USB3. I'm still trying to decide what heatsink I want to pair with it, the main goal is silence as I will not be overclocking the CPU.

New SFF gamer case: Mini ITX

Maybe it has been addressed already but.. would there be expected issues with the heatsink and PSU with a motherboard like the Gigabyte GA-H55N-USB3? The Gigabyte board has the CPU socket rather close to the PCIe slot, instead of in the corner. I'm not a fan of that design decision but I would...

New SFF gamers case: presentation and advices

When I pushed the cover into the channels the left side/GPU side of the cover is almost flush with the metal where the USB headers would be. It's like my cover is a bit bowed right there. I think that might be the cause of my problems. I'm going to try to form the bow out a bit and see if that...

New SFF gamers case: presentation and advices

My case arrived yesterday. After some initial pain and crushing of the USB/Audio module I have one major question... has any come up with a good technique for getting the cover on? It is seriously a pain. So much so that I'm a bit apprehensive to take the cover off. Wiring wasn't *that* bad. I...

New SFF gamers case: presentation and advices

I sent an email to the guys over at Lan-Gear already but I have not received a response back yet (perfectly acceptable, I sent it late last night and it's still early). Anyway, my question is one that can likely be answered by any owner of this wonderful case. Does the normal Blackheart...

    Facebook Appraised At $3.7 Billion?

Oh I don't know, when a significantly huge portion of the entire US visits your site on a daily basis you tend to be worth a lot of money. When your company name is often used as a verb... you're worth a lot of money. While it might be hard to put the price down to a absolute science, they have...
