Why do you have your fans blowing on your graphics card? This doesn't make any sense unless it's passively cooled. The idea is to allow the heat sink fan's exhaust to be removed from the case as quickly as possible.

PCIe 1.0 and PCIe 2.0 are backwards compatible. Also, you won't lose any performance if your mobo is only PCIe 1.0 unless you have a video card that's 5 years from the future.
