    Removing stock P4 HSF (nub)

You need to use a screwdriver. That's the easiest way to pry it off. Just wedge it out by putting the fulcrum of the driver against the black plastic. That's how they do it at Fry's, and it's the easiest way.

    DARPA sounds cool

I'm doign a project currently for my senior Electrical Design course where we are controlling a payload on a rocket with GPS. Of course, it utilizes a microcontroller. However, using BASIC Stamp is not really what you need to use. You need to learn more about the microcontroller's...

    Pricewatch

Has anyone else noticed that when you click on the "CPU" tab that there are no longer P4 quick links? Why are there only P3 quick links and AMD links? Is pricewatch against the P4 or something? They use to be there.

5 GHz Cooling Project at Tom's

Did anyone notice they used unoriginal music from various sources? That second song that plays for most of the video comes from ModPlug Player. It's the .S3M file that comes as an example. I just thought that was interesting. Also, I wanted to note that the video is cheesy. I mean, it's...

    Max payne 2 awesome

I don't understand how Mona Sax can be a guy. It was quite obvious that Max had sex with her on occasion. Wouldn't he have noticed somehow? I mean, usually this stuff is pretty obvious. I loved the game. But the endings sort of suck, and aren't quite so logical.

    Educational Questions...

I'm biased because I'm a double major in EE and CE, but I would definitely have to say take the EE track. It will pay off in the long run. Why, you ask? Because everyone in the know knows that EE quite difficult, challenging, often requires plenty of teamwork, etc. It should also test your...

thinking of majoring in electrical engineering

I'm at Texas A&M University in College Station. I started out in Computer Science and then switched to Computer Engineering (CE) and then decided to switch to EE with an emphasis on integrated circuits and finally have ended up double majoring in both. I graduate in May, and I have to say...

Best Nvidia Video Card for up to $200?

For $200, it's better to go with ATI, from a performance perspective and especially considering DX9 will work better with it.

    5900NU 256mb or Radeon 9800P 128mb

Get the 9800 Pro. For sure, without a doubt. Reason: R9800 will be much better for the future DirectX 9 games.

    Xbox replay-ability games

Badass games for the Xbox: Project Gotham Racing 2 Need for Speed Underground (I have it for GC though) Max Payne 2 (great replaybility) Deus Ex Invisible War (great replayability) Rainbox Six 3 (I haven't beat this one yet, but awesome game) Trust me, you can't go wrong with those...

    Game Name?

Scorched Earth! I loved that game back in the day. We used to have it on a 3.5'' disk and played it all the time during my Computer Literature class back in 7th grade in the lab. We would even play it during wood shop class when we didn't have anything else to do. Fun times those were...

    Max payne 2 awesome

What an awesome game!!! Just completed it. I unlocked those other game playing modes, but I was just curious as to whether or not they are simply more difficult modes, or if the story is any different in those modes? Does anybody know if the story is different in the other modes? [spoiler...
