I just went through this jumping from lenovo u430 -> asus ux302la -> yoga 2 -> samsung ativ 9 -> dell 14 7000 -> dell xps 13 -> mb pro -> finally t440s.
I couldn't find anything that I felt 100% happy with after seeing in person or reading forums. Finally got so tired of looking that I just...
my nexus real silent fans came with rubber screws but when I use them the fan filter won't slide into place. Ugh why can nothing just work lol.
edit: zip ties to the rescue I guess ha ha.
Has anyone else noticed that the screw mounting holes for the bottom position are smaller then the top, back, and sides. I noticed there was no rubber grommets on the bottom making it impossible to use the included screws to mount a fan. I moved the grommets from the side panel since I don't...
Thanks for the response redbeard. I was hoping to get further on it today but didn't have time to get beyond just setting the motherboard in. I agree that a few cables routed behind will probably put a stop to the rattle. I'll update as soon as life stops getting in the way and I can finish...
I can answer a few.
1. Grommets seem sturdy. I don't have any other cases with this feature to compare to though. I just moved my finger around in one of them pretty aggressively and everything flexes around and returns as it should. No indication of anything separating from the case...
it sits properly on the ground. I just wobbled the whole case to emphasize the rattle. You can see when I simply use my finger the panel is not secure even after closing it securely. The other panel works just fine and does not move at all.
I'm definitely going to try and take care of this on my own. The idea of shipping the side panel, waiting...., getting a new one and then having the chance of it still rattling seems like a comedy of errors that could happen to me, lol.
I haven't even gotten my system finished, so this may...
Anyone have this problem with their side panel. Sorry about the bad quality but I think you get the idea.

Not sure if I want to hassle with an RMA or maybe just try to shove some foam in there.
got mine tonight unfortunately didn't have much time to mess with it. The front panel not using magnets is not an issue for me since I simply don't plan to open the door at all.
My main concern and again I've only just glanced over the case is the back outside panel doesn't secure snuggly...
I'd be all over a fractal design case if they hadn't put that huge lettering across the whole front and right at the top. Ruins the entire thing and looks rushed.
