Not even close to a real comparison, but.. yeah. The AIB (non blower 5700XT's) are going for $419 while the 2070S is going for $499+. Not really sure why he thinks he can get a 2070S for the same price, but if it's the same price, then the 2070S.

Yeah, not sure why they came out so high honestly. The 5700 (not XT) AIB cards are going for about $9 over the reference designs, would hope the 5700XT AIB's start coming down to a reasonable price to actually be worth purchasing.

  3. Ready4Dis replied to the thread Nvidia CEO says buying a Gpu without raytracing is crazy....

I never said it was equal, I said all things equal buy the RT... But, IMO if you can save money and forgo RT at this time you probably will never miss it and could put that $ to something more useful. Obviously this amount will differ person to...

I just saw it in one of my news feeds and read it. Thought it was interesting. Didn't realize it was common knowledge.

I think part of the problem too is acceptable is different to everyone and a single number is useless, since different games work ok at different speeds. Example, in rocket league I try to keep my fps at 200... In Minecraft, 100 is fine (and...

I completely agree it will be everything, which is what the point was. Whether you get RT today or not, your going to have to upgrade to use it in future titles.

Yeah, I was already qoute happy, but I saw that one as well. And it does arguably look a bit better on in general from screen shots I've seen. Obviously not perfect, but neither is what it's replacing, otherwise we wouldn't need a replacement.

Sorry, qoute was from the original interview. Here is a snippet, but read the original for full context. https://wccftech.com/metro-dev-ray-tracing-doable-compute/amp/ Sorry about the interspersing, my mind works faster than I can type on my...

Oh, and seeing as metro is one of the better example, I find this quote funny as crap: "So as much as specialised hardware to speed up the calculations of the ray intersections is important, fast compute cores and memory which lets you get at...

Did you check out the images in the link I sent? It clearly shows the sun rays in a portion of the game where they shouldn't be. I agree, BF V isn't the greatest game, it's just the first one I found. I will see if I can find a metro one, from...

No, Intel isn't known for including heat sinks with higher end CPU's like AMD. It will be required, but it won't be bundled!

Kind of makes me said it took AMD coming out with a product to force them to do it and shows you they were milking people for a while. Competition is good, even if you're an Intel fan it is making them push harder and hopefully have to start...

  16. Ready4Dis liked Nightfire's post in the thread Comet Lake-S new socket LGA1200.

Well I am thinking they want a new chipset so they can have a bigger die. Being stuck at 14nm, they will need some surface area for cooling to get 10 cores and 125w TDP at Ryzen 3 beating speeds. They will probably still chuck a $10 cooler on...

I agree, but that's a pretty big discrepancy between his chart and every other chart I've found, plus multiple owners first hand accounts (some even just a few posts up). Honestly, I still think RT is going to stick around and become much better,...
