  2. RamonGTP replied to the thread So I've downloaded a new prime 95.

Best air cooler doesn't equate to exceptional cooling. There are cooling solutions that can keep from thermal throttling as soon as you hit the start button, so.... yeah. It's good, it's not exceptional. I can run Prime for about a minute before...

A few more side notes. Prime 95 isn’t exactly real world. If it is, please share with us some actual real world applications that most of us are likely to use that would do what prime 95 does. It is however a great program to test stability and...

I'm not but hurt about anything, you just aren't making any sense. There's literally no evidence to support your (gimping) theory and in fact, there's direct evidence that counters it. I'm really not sure where you come up with this crap, this is...

  6. RamonGTP replied to the thread How many 3900x silicon lottery losers are going to upgrade to 3950x?.

So are you coming up with conspiracy theories about intentionally gimping boards without even doing any real reading? There are X470 boards which are not only significantly cheaper, but also significantly older that are boosting higher than...

Only if you really believe the general public is too stupid to realize there’s other board manufacturers that aren’t doing that, if that were the case. And why would that only happen to AMD platform? This conspiracy theory makes zero sense anyway...

  9. RamonGTP replied to the thread How many 3900x silicon lottery losers are going to upgrade to 3950x?.

There’s absolutely zero reason for a board manufacturer to gimp overclocking intentionally, particularly on their higher end boards. I’m not sure how you even came to this conclusion.

Interesting and relevant to this post... Steve at Hardware Unboxed just recently released a video where he was testing the same CPU (a 3800x in this case) and RAM in several different motherboards to try and see why people are reporting such...

Do you usually uninstall the old chipset driver before installing the new one? OP - you should add driver to the title to avoid any confusion.

You guys know there’s a button to change the wheel from a smooth scrolling wheel to one with detents? I’ve had this for a couple years and has been my favorite so far. Ordered another one in case of failure so I don’t need to worry about...

If your fan isn't working you have to replace the fan smart guy... Jesus. If a pump fails you replace the pump, or in the case of AIO, the whole unit. Both solutions work, both have their pros, both have their cons, and neither is 100%

The heat sink will allow you to go a bit longer before throttling than the water block alone would, but either way you're replacing shit. There's nothing wrong with air cooling, but to claim its 100% is retarded.

Saving paste isn't the reason. The reason is metal to metal is a lot better than metal to paste to metal contact. Paste is there to fill in the gaps/imprefections but metal to metal is always more desirable when possible. The problem is we can't...

Running a ASUS ROG Strix x570-e. PLENTY of available power delivery and I'm on the latest BIOS (1005) which includes the latest AGESA. 280mm AIO for cooling 4550MHz is definitely better than what mine does, but a winner? Would we call it a...
