Clickbait trash. Article could be more actually titled, "AMD Practices Inventory Control Functions that have been Part of Standards and Practices for Hundreds of Years. "
That’s not price fixing…
That is textbook inventory control.
AMD and Nvidia produce their chips in batches, they can’t just say “oh shit we’re out of that chip that’s selling super well, go print up another 200k of them will ya?”
Their production...
Calm down, Intel has a huge glut of good cheap CPUs and AMD has already cut their CPU prices by a lot. It's a great time for CPUs. As far as GPUs - the 4k tier is expensive, yes but 1080p / 1440 is viable and more affordable than ever.
I dont blame nvidia or intel for not over producing so I won't blame AMD for that either. But I do blame intel and nvidia for other things and if AMD does those things I would blame them as well.
condiering games dont need more than 8cores i dont see it being an issue If the 7800X3D is as fast as a 13900K in gaming. Then imo its a win, now the release date...yeah wtf.
If you want great gaming and productivity, get a 7900X3D.
Louis Rossman did a video on this one and came to the same conclusion, however in a follow up, it looks the mediaanalysisd behavior observed may be a bug.
That said, i dont trust apple.
Ressurrecting this thread from 2021 in 2023 to say yet another "conspiracy theory" turned out to be true.

It wasn't up for long. It went up on a weekend and was gone first thing on Monday morning when dozens of tech sites posted it as news. I lean in the direction Lakados mentioned - they likely have random web guys updating their site and they're...
Exactly this.
The 7900XTX performance lies, the 4070ti being 3x faster than a 3090ti.......All marketing bullshit. Always wait for honest unbiased reviews.
Noticed how no one other than Hardware Unboxed got a 13900KS CPU to review? Yeah they...
The point is.....AMD is the only tech company I know who could consistently lose.money year after year and still stay in business. If you are going to suck you need to examine what they did to stay in business.
Intel's problems are much larger than a recession. An as-yet-official recession does not wipe our one decade of revenue growth in 12 months.
AMD may miss, so may Nvidia, but not to these extents.
So Apple claims M2 Pro is 20% faster than M1 Pro, but AMD claims their new mobile Ryzen are 30% faster than the M1 Pro. Apple with 22 hours and AMD with 30 hours. We got ourselves a fight.
