Three PCs, none can connect through the NIC. i connect through USB, and I even can connect to a router through cable modem. weird is that my mobo see the on-board NIC. purchased a rosewill NIC. i see two yellow lights but still no connection. Win7. Any ideas/help ?

For modular PSUs, i think the 8 pin connector needs to be male-male. The one linked above is not male-male.

have you cleared cache ? while you may have removed all extensions, have you also stopped FF from automatically searching for any updates, whether to itself or to any possible extensions ? do you have any other program that is also searching for a connection at the same time as FF is starting ?
