btw. with sony SDM-HS94P in windows xp display settings ,
is it better to use 16bit colors or 32bit ?
i think the monitor supports 16bit colors (or less) ,is there any point using 32bit
color in windows settings or should i better switch to 16bit ?
sRGB doesn't affect the backlight setting ,so you can use any value you want.
if you are talking about the brightness level ,it's better to leave at the default setting (31).
i had the EXACT same problem , the monitor was extremely bright .
as i said before try this :
set the backlight profile to : USER
go to the menu then choose : Color sRGB and set backlight to 40
those are the best to choose for normal use ,browsing etc .
if you want to play games just...
sure, as i said those settings are best for browsing and everyday use,
if i want to play games i just switch to the default "middle" setting,
BUT with 6500 color .
my monitor also has minor bleeding ,but it's barely visible when you use the
sRGB setting (Color sRGB , backlight 40 ). No...
tried also those but the backlight bleeding didn't change at all (compared to my settings
not the default ) + with those settings monitor was too bright and colors were a little washed-out ...
those still remain the best for me :
set the backlight profile to : USER
go to the menu then...
set the backlight profile to : USER
go to the menu then choose : Color sRGB and set backlight to 40
those are the best to choose for normal use ,browsing etc .
if you want to see photos or play games or see movies use the preset MIDDLE (or High)
backlight profile BUT with 6500K color .
For example in this forum (that uses a black background)do you have problems ?
i see it perfectly ,colors are the same in every place of the screen and the black is
the same in all of the screen. Tried also with lights off . No problem.
The only problem i might have when reading this forum...
checked this out a little bit and noticed that mine is like the one posted in the
picture only when the computer boots (and does not work in native resolution) ,
in native 1280x1024 there is no problem.
mine is 2004-30
but is the european "x-black" version not "x-brite"
it works perfectly ,no bleeding & no dead pixels.
could you all post some photos of your monitors with bleeding so that
we can all understand exactly what is going on ?
maybe you didn't configure the settings properly or you have a defective monitor,
i can see this board perfectly and there is NO gradient feel to the gray boxes where
this message appears .
btw. i have the european "x-black" version not the US "x-brite" . However
the model number from...
yes ,this is normal ,your screen is not defective.
but it's like this only if the screen is completely black , when the screen is
showing something those disapear ,you can't see them anymore ,this is
not a problem.
set the brightness profile to : USER
go to the menu then choose : Color sRGB and set brightness to 40
those are the best to choose for normal use ,browsing etc .
if you want to see photos or play games or see movies use the preset MIDDLE
brightness profile BUT with 6500K color .
