Hey guys,
I didn't realize that my post was being referenced (by vittra). I have to take back my statement on that initial review. When I initially was using it, my temps were pegged at 43c at full load on furmark. It was incredible.
If i do furmark now, With idle temps at 42C, furmark...
Hmm. lol i didn't even try sliding it in from the front. haha. Oh well. It doesn't take too long to pull the mobo anyhow and I did a little bit of wire clean up while the mobo was out (at least that's my rationalization to make myself feel better :D).
Let us know how your lamptron turns...
So installing the fan controller backwards in the case ended up working pretty sweet. I think it looks kinda cool inside of the case, and no knobs sticking outside of the case. It was a pain in the butt to install though because I had to take the entire motherboard out so I could slide the...
yeah i will def have to experiment with it. The nice thing about that controller is that I can turn PWM on or off individually for each fan connected to the controller--no y-splitters required. I currently have the two ty-140s Y-ed together off the cpu header. I'll plug teh fan...
sweet. I took your advice and got a good one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811995075
Now i'll be able to PWM every fan in the system, and i don't need to replace the golfball-looking top one.
Hopefully the included cables are long enough to run behind the MB. It'll...
hmm... I'm sure you could get it to fit. There is enough clearance to account for the thickness of the side panel. The foam+side panel is probably what will put you over the edge.
What I think I might do if i were you is just install it and let it press into the foam for a few minutes...
Here's a pic of the clearance of the archon with the windowed ft02.
So what's going on is i slid the fan out until it would touch the side window slightly when i closed it. I put a ruler flat against the top of the heatpipes and then you can see a ruler that is measuring the distance from the...
I forget what my temps were exactly, it's been a while since i set it up, but i think they were similar to yours. I'm going to need to redo everything anyways since mine was originally done on the bench. I have, however been considering just dropping to 4.5-4.6 ghz. It appears that on my...
no problem man. Yeah our builds are realllly similar. So far I haven't had too much time to set anything up cause school is killing me, but I do plan to make it look nice soon. Your setup looks great btw. I definitely checked it out when you posted pictures earlier and your posts earlier...
please ignore the huge mess, haven't had time to mess with it yet, and my MB is going to get replaced in a couple weeks with the sandy bridge debacle.
To answer your questions, I actually have a p8p67 deluxe (messed up that in the sig), I have g.skill sniper ram...
Someone earlier said they were touching the foam with the top of their thermalright silver arrow (non-windowed)
I have a windowed with a thermalright archon (taller than the thermalright silver arrow) and it fits my windowed FT02 just fine.
actually he said they could probably do something like that. i was just curious if anyone knew if they are actually following through on that. I guess no one knows anything new.
looks like corsair posted USB 3.0 updates so people can upgrade their usb 2.0 for a couple of their cases. Anyone heard anything about the status of this for the FT02?
i'm dyying to get a case. It's really annoying to have your computer sitting out cause you want a certain case.
