Format a data drive's Partition Table?

This has nothing to do with data being there. It has to do with the 'bad sector' data, and other things stored in the partition table. I used the instructions provided in post #2 and it worked just fine, and am doing a full format of the drive right now.

Format a data drive's Partition Table?

I have a drive with a busted SATA connector that is still usable. The cable on the drive went bad, so I replaced the cable, and the drive is usable again. However, the data on the drive was corrupted due to the cable being fubar. Nothing was left on the drive anyway that I needed, so I...

Did Intel really just send me a brand new i7 920?

??? I RMAed a monitor. I got one from the manufacturer that had never been opened, but it was a 'refurb'. A company purchased 500 or 1,000 or a million of the same monitor, and they didn't need some of them, so after 2 years of sitting unused in the original boxes, they were sent back. The...

    Backlit keyboards

Hmm, if it wasn't for the small function keys, I might like that keyboard. I'll add it to the list though, just because I like the deep red of the backlight. :P

    Backlit keyboards

My i-Rocks keyboard has standard size keys for the function keys, and is a standard keyboard other than being a little smaller in width. It's the same thickness as my logitech standard keyboard. So, I have no idea what you are talking about, or what that has to do with this thread.

Did Intel really just send me a brand new i7 920?

CPU's can be sold as 'Refurb' if they were sold to a company, and the company went belly up, or failed to pay for them and sent them back instead of payment. Intel cannot sell them as brand new, and instead of dumping them, would sell them at a reduced rate as 'refurb'.

    Backlit keyboards

A few things being blue isn't going to sink my Titanic. :p Ironically, my XPC's blue power LED went out (the LED still works, the circuit that powers it is dead, I think it's the pulse width modulator). I will add that to the keyboards I'm considering! I like Saitek a lot, I've got an X45 that...

    Backlit keyboards

So, I used to game late into the night playing flight simulator. I usually left the lights off, and had issues seeing my keys. I got some stupid LED light sticks and taped them to my keyboard, but they were bright and defeated the purpose of keeping the lights off... So, I got a keyboard with...

Old socket 939 board... Bad caps...

Bumping this from ancient ago.... I gave this to a friend, who removed the bad caps, got higher quality same rated caps, and replaced them. Board works fine still, and is chugging along as a file server for her now. Just super glad my STL2 dual PIII server board has good caps on it still.

    MacBook Pro + WRT54GL + DD-WRT = No WiFi

We got a Netgear WNDR3700. I just set it up with the MacBook Pro using the 5ghz, and the iPod running off the 2.4 ghz, and all is well. :) I may try running DD-WRT on it later, but i like how it runs right now as is. Thanks for the advice!
