TD MSI GTX 770 2GB $299 after rebate and coupon

Tigerdirect is running a promotion through tomorrow for $20 off $100 when you pay with V.me, which is a new payment portal available for Visa cards. I signed up last night and it was quite painless. That makes the price $295 shipped - $15 rebate card. You can also get a free trial from...

    MSI P67S-C43 voltage won't stick

Zalman 9500 AT... nothing amazing, but it was a breeze to install and pretty cheap at Microcenter, so good enough for me.

    MSI P67S-C43 voltage won't stick

I installed the Intel ME driver off the CD, works fine. There is an Intel ME firmware update in the MSI 1.7 BIOS zip file, so maybe you need to flash both... I did. I flashed by creating a DOS USB boot drive and running 7673v17.bat; this updated both MB BIOS and Intel FW. I was able to get...

    MSI P67S-C43 voltage won't stick

New BIOS 1.7 is released: http://www.msi.com/product/mb/P67S-C43.html#/?div=BIOS Will be trying it soon. If you don't hear back, it's because my board is hosed :p

6950 Owners: Was Your Unlock Successful?

My MSI 6950 was showing artifacts on DESKTOP using the Sapphire 6970 BIOS, even after +20 power and dropping memory and GPU back to base clocks. 6950 modded BIOS seems perfectly fine, even in 3d. I can only guess the card didn't like the extra voltage.

    MSI P67S-C43 voltage won't stick

After looking through the MSI forum overclocking section, it looks like this is a known - if not widely declared - bug. From what I can discern, there is currently a 1.6 BIOS still in beta, which should contain a fix for this. The same bug is occurring on the GD65 boards. They must have...

    MSI P67S-C43 voltage won't stick

Probably not a lot of owners out there yet, but this new board is having trouble with CPU voltage in BIOS. Regardless of my setting, voltage remains at 1.208, holding back the new 2500k quite a bit. If I use MSI Control Center (windows utility), I can change CPU voltage, but it returns to...

    Dell U2311H - $199.99 w/ free shipping

Mine arrived today, even though the Dell website still indicates it's in production. I feel kind of bad, because I think I lucked out with a good monitor. Backlight uniformity is excellent, little backlight leak and no dead pixels I could see. I feel bad, though, because in TF2 it still...

    Dell U2311H - $199.99 w/ free shipping

I'm a CRT die hard... last time I tried an LCD on my home rig it was a Dell 24" about 4 years ago. It was bright as all hell (at min backlight) and the viewing angles were so bad that the black/grey tiles on HardForum drove me insane. Ghosting and input lag were pretty bad too. But, I've been...

    MSI P67S-C43 LGA1155 (Sandy Bridge P67): $103.99 + shipping

Thanks, OP. I almost pulled the trigger earlier this week on a Gigabyte UD3, but I felt that was a bit of a waste since even low-performance Crossfire is not important to me. Now that we know SB isn't launching retail until Sunday, this board should definitely be here in time since 2nd Day...

    Are you skipping 2500K/2600K?

I'm on a QX6600 (engineering sample!) on a 680i motherboard... it's definitely time for an upgrade; the motherboard is 4 years old and while it still works, it just makes me feel dirty to have such an aged system. I was waiting for Sandy just because the first gen core-i CPUs were already so far...

    LCD for a CRT fanatic?

My prejudice isn't based on one experience. Like I said, I've been around LCD technology and used LCDs a lot - but only once have I tried on in my home environment, with disastrous results. I simply didn't want to try again if people's reactions were "yeah, it's not going to be any better this...

    LCD for a CRT fanatic?

Yes, in the age of LCDs I still use a CRT. I have worked in the LCD TV industry, I have a 52" LCD TV that I'm okay with, but for a gaming monitor I've had nothing but disappointment with LCDs. I'm currently using a HP P1100 21" CRT that I saved from the scrapheap at work and it works great and...

    No HDCP on HDCP Monitor?

Yeah, try switching out the cable first. If that doesn't work, you can pick up a DVI to HDMI adapter and try connecting a standalone DVD or Blu-ray player to your monitor. If it plays, the problem is on your PC, if it doesn't play, the problem is the monitor.
