Cool, literally the exact same model I tried a few days ago, and mostly for the same reasons. The 3D is supposed to be that good.
Man, I hear you. I've been doing 3D Vision since before it was cool. Not quite as into consumer 3D. I personally always only kind of liked 3D at the theaters. I...
I had a 3D Vision setup for a long time. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I'm pretty sure that something like a C6 (I'm guessing that's what you're looking at) won't work with 3D vision. I think the monitor has to explicitly support the spec. If it doesn't have a nVidia 3D Vision logo on the...
I have a Maxwell Titan X under water running well at 1450 MHz. Seems like a 1080 Ti would be a step up. I'm considering replacing my 1440p, 144Hz monitor with a 4k TV. (I just have no interest in sub 40" 4k.) It's unclear to me how much of a step up that would be and if I'd hate my life moving...
Just found this while Googling:
"We do know that NVIDIA has currently focused all of their production for the GP100 GPU to HPC and data centers so the consumer variant of that chip if ever launched should be seen in 2017"

Can someone please explain why this isn't the "full" chip? People seem to be upset that nVidia is leaving something on the table. Is there a chart or something that shows what the untapped potential is?
I got my Titan X (had 2, but sold one a while back) pretty much on release. It overclocks from 1000 mhz to 1450 mhz, so I'm guessing it would still beat an OC 1080? Not saying it's a bang-for-the-buck card, but I feel like it's hung in there quite nicely
I finished the game on Ultra-Violence and then went and did a few levels on Nightmare. Big difference. Enemy attacks do much more damage to you. On Nightmare, you can survive 1 fireball from an imp and that's about it
Well, this is definitely the place for enthusiasts. It's how many people here roll. I think this thread is more about the first 2 weeks or so. Many people are waiting for non-FE AIB cards to arrive, or the Titan/Ti variants to appear.
Cool, thanks for the link, will watch. I meant running at 1450 (almost 50% over stock) would put it pretty much neck and neck with a stock 1080. Just my back of the envelope math anyway.
The part of me that likes shiny wants the 1080, but my Titan X is running nicely at 1450 and from a benchmark I saw a while back I seem to remember that being pretty much neck-and-neck with a stock 1080? Probably wait for the next Titan, or "big pascal" I guess it's called?
