just got a new maxtor diamondmax 9 plux sata to replace a dead one. the hd is identified just fine in the bios, but i run into problems trying to install it in windows. i've tried the maxblast progrem, but it crashes whenever i try to run it. any other solutions?

just got myself some new ram, and thought about checking it out - installed everything, set fsb to 220 and bang, "plz insert boot disk bla bla bla". I remember reading about some kind of problems with SATA harddisks and overclocking, is there anything i can do ?

no offence, but that's a bunch of crap. the 80mm Tornado is a very (very!) strong fan and there's no way that's the reason for the temps i was reporting. It may surprise you, but without a duck, 80mm achived better results than the 92 tornados, because the dead zone was smaller.
