CrystalDiskInfo shows the same thing as GSmartControl and SSDLife. The only SMART value below its threshold is the SSDLife. Here is the output from smartctl:

ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAG...
1: It is Windows 7 Pro SP3, which is supposed to support TRIM. SSDLife Pro showed it supported and enabled, but I just checked to make sure with the "fsutil behavior query DisableDeleteNotify" command and it is both supported and enabled according to Windows 7.
2 & 3: I have no idea, but there...
Are there other factors besides writes that affect the SSD Life Left SMART flag? I had a sudden surprise last night when I RDP into my Windows 7 Pro machine that I use Media Center for recording TV, Steam Game Streaming to my TV and a few other things. There was a an error saying Windows...
For me, it never affects the TV service, just the internet. After they supposedly fixed it last week, the tech told me to call and let them know if it kept happening. When I called Tuesday, I told the guy on the phone what the tech said, but he said he would have to send another tech out.
The...
They haven't changed the drop to the house. They always take a signal reading at the pole or at the connection on the house first and can tell the signal is bad before it's even going in the house. So once again, I have to take time off and be at home during the 2-hour window they are supposed...
I have been having problems with my cable internet for 3 months. Something changed around 3 years ago and twice a year in late spring and late fall when the temperature starts to change, I start getting frequent my disconnects. I have to call to report the outages, someone comes out and take...
I own my own modem, they charge too damn much for a rental. If it were a rental, they probably would have replaced it first. I initially used their supplied modem way back when I first got service because it was included for a year (which was a Motorola SB4100). They probably hope people will...
For the several months I've been having constant issues with my internet connection crapping out and I have to call and report it every 2-3 weeks. The problem started back in January when a storm knocked down some utility polls that left me without power and internet for 3 days. They finally...
I went ahead and mounted it in the front. I think it's better this way. I make use of the room up front and still have room for a long GPU. I mounted one fan on the front side of the case with the radiator and the other fan on the inside. This is what it looked like after mounting:
I had...
It is worth a shot, and I'll try it since I'll have to loosen the screws anyway to remove the radiator. I'm pretty sure it won't work though. The design of this case is unconventional, but not entirely in a bad way. The internal dimensions lengthwise are larger than most cases of its size...
No, I haven't tried that, but if that works, I might have to do that every time I remove the panel, which would be a PITA. Also, I noticed last night that it seems the radiator is pushing the lip on the case out slightly. The joint where the top and back of the case are bulging out slightly...
I wasn't sure whether or not this should go in cases or water cooling, but since I'm going to have to modify my case one way or another, I figure this is the best place.
I bought a Corsair 100R Silent Edition for my new build. I've had limited time to work on it, but basically I've had it all...
My understanding was that if you upgraded, it invalidates your Win7/8 key, and you can't use it to install the old version of Windows after July 30. If you roll back from Win10 to your old Win7/8 product, you lose out on the free upgrade in the future. I was hoping they would extend the free...
My HTPC still runs Windows 7 and Media Center, for now, but I've upgraded my other PCs to Windows 10. I share the Recorded TV directory on the HTPC, and used Windows 7 Media Center on the other PCs to be able to watch recorded shows from it. Is there any software that I can use on Windows 10...
