On a Windows 2003 domain, what could possibly allow a normal domain user to view the AD structure? As a normal user i'm able to install the admin tools and view the layout of AD (users, groups, etc) which is a bit concerning.

I'm using the stock cooler, oc'ed to 3.6 ghz, running at 40-45C with Prime95 blend test running according to RealTemp.

What gives, Realtemp reports much lower. Core temp 47C 48C

Would I be better off just turning it back down to 3ghz? It's sitting at 60C steady on both cores according to Coretemp but it seems solid after an hour. I'm trying out the one that says "maximum heat, not much ram tested" setting and it seems stable after a run through. I mainly play games...

How hot is too hot? I have my E8400 with the stock HSF running at 3.6 ghz (9x400). Coretemp with Prime95 Blend test (1800 Ram specified) is hovering around 58-61C. It hasn't failed in an hour so far.

Will it be using the same socket (775) or will it be new?

So the ringing was the PCIE power not being hooked up to the 8800GT. And the CPU fan doesn't spin until it needs to apparently, which I'm definitely not used to. Ugh, scared the crap out of me. I even took the processor out and put it back in, so the thermal paste was jacked up from the stock...

E8400 + Gigabyte mobo I hooked everything up and just wanted to power it up for a quick test. When I turn on the power I hear a loud ringing noise, and the CPU fan won't power up. What have I done?

I haven't had any problems with the PSU. I have the 8800GT/650 combo. I have my E8400 oc'ed to 4GHz with the PSU.

Does that mobo have an IDE? Right now I'm just going to move over my WD 100GB IDE 8MB cache drive until I move to SATA.

And will DDR2 800 be ok with an E8400?

What is a good mobo for an E8400, but not too pricey?

Is there any reason to get a Phenom processor over the X2 6400+? Everything I see shows the 6400 ahead of the Phenom in benchmarks.

Can anyone recommend a freeware utility that will either reveal or remove the password for an Excel 2003 document? Thanks
