    Why does napp-it not register the hostname with AD when you join? I'm not able to connect to my NAS via the hostname, only IP. Also, any easy way to understand how to add SMB share permissions? I can see the share as a guest, but I'd like to remove guest access and only allow the administrator...

    I have all USB 3.0 disabled in BIOS. It's currently on USB2.0 mode.

    Running into a brick wall here. Trying to install OmniOS, but when I load it via USB, it'll get to "syncing file system" then something will flash up and the system will reoboot. I'm absolutely stuck at this, and haven't found anyway to proceed.

    Ended up being a vastly out dated bios! Flashed the bios via IMPI, booted up no issue.

    Hi All, I've got a Tyan S7050 Motherboard with two E5's in it. When attempting to install W8, I get an acpi_bios_error after windows loads files. So far nothing I've tried will resolve the issue, tried messing with ACPI settings in bios, IDE mode for SSD, resetting CMOS, etc.

    That's when I first saw it too. The strange thing is, some people report the powershell work around as having helped them, however, for me it's not just the app store, but absolutely random programs.

    Yeah, I've done SFC, as well as the powershell app reinstall. The odd thing is this is a fairly new built PC, two weeks ago to be exact. This ALSO happened on my laptop that had Windows 10.

    I too remember this issue on my laptop, I never resolved it and ended up reformating. I'm on the latest build, and GPU drivers. I reboot daily.

    Super weird issue that has only presented itself recently. I'm unable to click certain things in Windows, for example, I can't click Power to shutdown, or Settings. Also, sometimes I'm unable to click certain things in programs. In games, browser, etc the mouse functions perfectly fine.
