Are you sure it's the casing? So there's no software solution, is that why the WD Quick Formatter app doesn't have the factory default option (512), even though this is the only solution that WD support offers? I'll need to put the drive in a new external enclosure. Would using True Image...

Windows 7 backup won't work with a 4k drive. People say to use the WD Quick Format Utility and Select 'Factory Reset/Default', However this option is not available when I do that. Same problem as this guy: https://community.wd.com/t/wd-quick-formatter-not-allowing-4k-to-512-sector-format/5479

I'm thinking of getting a full water cooled AIO system pre-built by NCIX. If they set up the watercooling for the CPU and GPU, how long can I use this system at home before it will need water cooling maintenance?
