Thanks everyone. Jumped the gun and assumed the CPU was shot due to the 95* temp reading.

Replaced CPU, same issue. Safemode locks up at loading AGP440.sys, same amount of time to lockup as trying to boot normally. Just goes black.

Whenever I try to load anything, it just freezes up. Ubuntu, same thing.

Working on a PC for someone, which suffered a burnt out PSU from a power surge. After replacing the PSU, everything seemed ok, except for the computer booted into windows then shut off. I checked the CPU Temp, and I was ASTOUNDED to see 95* C, so I immediately shut down and put a fan to it...

Yea, usually anything that runs on XP will run on 2k, they are pretty damn similar. I actually preferred Win2k FOREVER :D Ill give it a shot.
