    Monitor Recommendation

I'm considering maybe this IPS panel? A friend recently got a pair and likes them and it fits in my budget. Little bit slower at 4ms but I don't think I'll notice with what I do. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/acer-xf270hua-27-ips-led-hd-freesync-monitor-black/5622408.p?skuId=5622408

    Monitor Recommendation

You're right I read my system info wrong, 4gb vram. Edited the original post. I'm not partial towards resolution but going to 1440p seems like it might future proof it a little bit. I don't have a desire to go to 4k.

    Monitor Recommendation

Being part of the newly WFH workforce I'm considering taking the opportunity to upgrade my setup and use my old monitors for my semi-permanent home office (unless there is a solution that could share the monitors without a docking station, maybe a KVM switch?). My rig is a few years old at this...

    ASUS Z170-AR - Experiences?

Thank you! I didn't know they did the package deals on other Mobos. Also I didn't realize the PCB was brown it looks black in the marketing photos. Really appreciate your insight.

    ASUS Z170-AR - Experiences?

I was planning on getting an ASRock Z170 Pro4 (Link) The board is currently $110 on New Egg. My local Microcenter offers the Z170-AR as part of a "package" with the 6600k that I'm purchasing for a total of 359+tax. This brings the total of the AR down to around $140. Does anyone have any...

New PC Build - $1200-1400 budget

I've changed my mind on that after talking to a friend. I'm going to go with a 500g SSD and I'll add a HDD at some point in the future if/when I run out of space.

New PC Build - $1200-1400 budget

The Evo 850 250 gig is on sale on Amazon for $77 which seems like a great deal. Does anyone have any comments on the rest of the rig I put together?

New PC Build - $1200-1400 budget

It is finally time for me to build a new PC. I'm probably going to ask for parts for Christmas and build during the break between the holidays. 1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc Mostly just gaming, even though I've mostly grown out of PC gaming I'd...

    HSF for OCing a q9300 to 3.0ish.

I'm picking up a q9300 to upgrade my sad little e7200. I want to squeeze a little more performance out of my old rig before I have to bite the bullet on a whole new build. To that end I'm also going to do a slight OC on the proc, probably shooting for 3.0 to start. I may just rest at 400...
