Hey all
Just thought I would post some info on the project i'm working on right now. My server is getting a major overhaul. see this page for more info

Over the weekend I installed the fan controllers and temperature monitor which came in the mail last...
hey guys, im having an issue with my system right now..basically whenever i turn the computer on, windows 2000 freezes halfway through the second loading screen (the one with the scrolling / fading blue and white bar). If i hit teh reset button, it loads fine. I restored an old ghost image...
hey guys, just bought 2 RIMMS from someone to upgrade my system. I previously had 2 x 256 meg modules, I now have 4. All of the ram is pc1066. When i first booted up, windows saw 1024 megs of ram, but sisift sandra reported it as running at 800mhz. I rebooted and changed the ram fsb...
yes, it is. this shot sort of lets you see the 120mm, as well as the 92mm under it helping direct air towards the larger fan:

I have 4 80mm intakes and one 120mm exhaust right now, seems to work well. It's an antec sx1030b (two intakes under the hard drives, and two under the power supply). I also have a 92mm hovering below the 120mm fan to help push air upwards. Flipping the rear fans to intakes gave mea few...
yeah I agree..Im not sure what color tha case you bought is, but if its black, get some chrome c-strip molding from an auto parts store and try that out. Looks really good
=)
I also recommend gentoo. Im in the same boat as the person above..i installed both mandrake and redhat, and learned nothing. After gentoo's install I had a working knowledge of how the system worked and I found it a lot easier to work with. I'd say if you want to learn, do a gentoo install...
cool i didnt know TEXT fields could hold that much
Definately a better alternative as I think blobs store info as binary and aren't as easy to work with.
you're definately looking at a BLOB..maybe even large blob. I think the limit for an entry is something like 1 meg...or something else extremely high which you'll never have to worry about unless you plan on archiving the internet within a single row
:D
well I just verified all three CDs before attempting the install again, and they checked out fine.
Never had a problem with this hard drive, don't think there's anyhting wrong with it.
