AFAIK the newer one also comes with 1gb of RAM standard. And, the 'older' one that doesn't have 802.11n also doesn't have a Core 2 Duo processor, just Core Duo.
So definitely go for the newer one.

umm, i play wow (or used to play. i gave it up going into finals) on my macbook. And i only have the core duo model. Graphics are ok, not stunning, but no lag even in populated areas.
So do some hands-on research next time.
ichat allows video and chat. adium doesn't for some reason.
but skype is what you should be using for any video/audio needs. skype works on any platform, so you buddies can use it to.

Yeah i think i still have the information. But the company is based in KC. And your local Apple Store should have their prefered location's information ready to give to you. Apple even ships your drive to the company if you ask.;)
That exact problem happened to me a week ago. I took it to the Apple store and they said it was infact a completely bricked hd. (see my post from a few days ago)
They couldn't recover the hd in the store. They did give me the card for a data recovery place. The fee would have been a flat...
