What multi are you running your e6600 at? The DS3 has known issues about not being able to go over 450MHz fsb... The bios (F8) is supposed to fix it up to about 486Mhz.
I have the DS3 and an e6300 and I would get the Asus... Spend the $40 more and get the P5B-Deluxe... It's the best 965 board out right now.
The DS3 doesn't have firewire and it has issues with Micron D9 memory that can't be fixed. A resistor has to be changed...
Since you are going to...
What are all of your build dates? Mine is January 2006... Is this odd since I just bought it this week?
I just got it from JandR and so far I love it. No dead pixels... Some backlight bleed but I can live with it...
What are your color settings? Contrast? Brightness?
I also picked up a 215tw at BestBuy and when I brought it home and plugged it in there was a LOT of backlight bleeding in the corners and I was really bummed out... The upper left corner was the worst out of the 4...
However, when I lowered the brightness down (it was preset to 100) to the...
Whe i turn the brightness down to 30 the backlight is not so bad... I'll post pics tonight... The monitor has settings for Internet (contrast 68, brightness 30), game, movie, etc...
I have no dead pixels but the backlight thing is slightly nagging at me... I feel like I am a monitor snob...
The monitor is beautiful... colors look great but darks are 'slightly' a bit dark... There is however backlight bleed in all 4 corners of the screen... Most noticable in the WinXP boot screen and on an all black screen.... Will this go away with time???
Cnet has a review of the 2007WFP and the 2007FP.... now, um... all we need is an actual product.... OK Dell? Hear us please.
Cnet Review of 2007WFP and 2007FP
PLEASE Dell put these friggin monitors out soon... specifically the 2007WFP... I have been thinking about them so much that I am starting to have dreams about them!? This is just plain ridiculous... If there was a 20" WS out there that had height adjustment for ~$400 I would get it... tired of...
To everyone that has one of these..... Is the non-height adjustment a big factor? Do you have to look down on it? Or because the screen is so big it's not an issue....? Thanks!
