I haven't even gotten around to moving the living room TV to 4K yet - I think the 1080Ti will be fine for me until Navi + 7nm comes out, and we (hopefully) see some real AMD competition. I'm not in a rush to supply nVidia with capital after their shady GPP BS.

Yeah, 3cfm won't be noticed. If my fan was like 35cfm or so, I'd go for it, but you're right, not worth the hassle. I think I'll try flipping the fan and retest to start with. I may need to just step down to a 2600X, if CPU temps get to be an issue.

Well, answered my own question to 'why not' - it's a PITA to change anything in the case, and I'd have to disassemble the entire thing. Think I'll wait for a few ideas, then enact multiple ideas at once :) IE, is there a more powerful fan I can use instead of the Noctua NF-A12x15mm? Seems...

Part of the issue I had with s939, was s754 for the Durons. I wish AMD hadn't created that division in their lineup, that's part of why it seemed like the Opteron 165 build I did was the *only* s939 setup I had.
