I have created a basic music/streaming player on my website for my Icecast livestream and was wondering is there anyway to create more advanced player using HTML5 (or add something to my current player) that will display the meta-data...i.e. the artist and title? I am pushing out the meta-data...
OK, I got this figured out and for anyone else trying to accomplish this I will tell what I used. I used Icecast and B.U.T.T. Install Icecast and then run the console (which comes up like a DOS command prompt). You can edit the config file, which the main thing you need to change to begin with...
I didn't really see a section this fit into...so if it needs to be moved...please do so.
Is there a way to stream computer audio to the internet using just a local computer and something like Windows Media Player or some type of free option like that that will allow multiple people to connect...
I asked the tech at ASROCK about G.Skills and his answer was "no, do not use those". Go figure...don't know why, he just said not to use that brand for this board.
Is there going to be much of any real difference in 2400 vs 3000 DDR4 memory? The ASRock tech told me one he would recommend would be Corsair. I see 4 dual channel sets on Newegg...from 2400 to 3200. Of course the 2400 is the cheapest price wise...just curious if there is really any drastic...
Finally found the memory support list...took a while to track it down. If anyone else needs it for this board...here it is:

I have purchased a new ASRock Z270 KILLER SLI/AC LGA 1151 Intel Z270 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Motherboards - Intel and trying to decide on what memory to get.
Looking through Newegg I see a ton of DDR4 ram. I'm looking at the 2800 (that's about the sweet spot), but most all of that and a lot...
OK, well I finally decided to go with the ASRock Z270 Killer SLI/AC board. I got a $10.00 discount...so $129.99 wasn't a bad price and get all the features I need.

OK, down to a couple of Z270 boards around the $100+ range. Any thoughts on either of these? I assume either will do overclocking since they have the Z270 chipset and should work with my Kaby Lake cpu out of the box.
ASRock Z270 Pro...
Been looking at the board some already. So, you like it pretty well? Also, I looked at the images on Newegg and got a question...am I missing something...where are the SATA connections on the board? I'm not seeing any.
BlueFireIce,
Thanks for the suggestion on a board. Also, thanks for the explanation about the different chipsets...that's what I was looking for. Trying to find which ones DO NOT have to be updated. Looks like I need to go for at least a 250 board and avoid having to update. I'm seeing some...
Well, I got a good price on it (why buy a lower level cpu when I could get the K at about the same price) and I didn't say I would "never" overclock it...just have no plans to right now :) I have been reading a lot of reviews on Newegg and that seems to be the biggest complaint right now...a...
