In my opinion, you current rig offers more options to you, especially with the motherboard you have. One of the best motherboards produced in the last 2 or 3 years. ;) Stick with what you have.
I spent $700 on a professional series Viewsonic 21' CRT Monitor. It has a 100hz refresh rate at 1600x1200, which is what I game at. High refresh rates are every bit as important as having a good graphics card.
I'll be the judge of what a playable framerate is, I'll be the judge of what is acceptable visual quality. Everyone's opinions of these will be different which is why a video card review should NOT only interpret these key details for you.

I agree with the original poster. I have long abandoned Hardocp as the first place I come for reviews. The "Opinion" Brent and Kyle offer always seems lopsided to one end of the spectrum, so to speak. Nv%$ia cough, Nv%$ia. :o they'll lock this thread in no time.
Any excuse whatsoever is a poor one. The GTX 512 was a monumental failure, reaching phantom status. Nvidia will not make the same mistake with the 7900. I'm betting it will be only slightly faster overall, like the X850XT was, most people will wait for the next gen.
In most reviews I've read it's hard to tell the difference in image quality between the two. However most reviews and the overall consensus is that ATI is able to kick the resolutions up higher, with better degrees of AA in a greater amount of games. There isnt a great enough disparegy between...
