Just makes me want to stick to my plan of keeping my EVGA 3080 FTW for the time being, and maybe grabbing a spare one while there's still NIB stock around at decent prices.
So far what I've seen has convinced me to keep my EVGA 3080 FTW until it dies, no matter how long that takes, even if I have to lower the settings in newer things to keep the frame rates smooth.
I've had Edge blocked in my non-MS firewall since day 1 almost. Guess we'll see if MS can work around that or not.
Going to be another game of whack a mole between MS putting out patches to put Edge back and hackers putting out patches to remove or block it.
Gods I remember beta testing EQ back in the day. Levelled a cleric to 50 after launch and I can still remember the time someone traded me like 60 Peridots (way pricey gems back then) to rez him so he'd get back most of the XP he lost from dying.
Being a 50 cleric was very profitable. ;)
I'm...
Some info here.... (didn't see this posted yet but could have missed it)

I really want to build or buy a new top of the line system to last me a few years. Got an EVGA 3080 FTW I can toss into it too.
I just don't even know where to begin anymore. Maybe I'm getting too old for this schitt with how prices are and performance is somewhat lacking all around it seems.
Stock out of the box. Boosts to 1950 solid and stays there. Temps rarely break 65C except in a few cases. I haven't pushed it yet really.
I guess I expected a bit more oomph, though it's not a slouch either since it's basically matching the performance I had with 2 x Titan Xp's in SLI in...
My EVGA 3080 FTW arrived early and I managed to pop it in and do one quick Timespy bench.
Was kind of surprised it benched nearly the same as the 2 x Titan Xp's it replaced (around 15,000 overall), though my CPU isn't helping the overall score at all, but the rest of the system won't be getting...
My EVGA 3080 FTW Timespy benched just slightly less than the 2 x Titan Xp FE's it replaced at 3440x1440 at stock out of the box settings. Granted it ran a hell of a lot quieter and with less power draw. The 3080 didn't break 65C which to me was pretty great.
2 x Titan Xp's were 18,695...
As a fellow 3440x1440 user I can relate. I'll find out next week at some point when I'll finally get to see an EVGA 3080 FTW3 ULTRA arrive and replace the 2 x Titan Xp's I've been running since those launched.
Can't wait to crunch some CUDA stuff with it and see how it compares. :)
Sadly...
