Why not opt for a small form factor machine? There small, take up minimal space and are normally pretty quiet. It comes with Case, Mobo and CPU cooler all you need is Ram and a Processor and a HDD and your set.

Try a new slot for your sound card. It seems like Offboard Soundcards cause alot of problems if their in the wrong slots.

I honestly think that you should just reinstall windows / your OS of choice again. As the old Hard drive is looking for stuff that was on your Intel mobo, that your AMD mobo doesnt have. Therefore its getting a BSoD

Run a Memory test on the Ram to see if it is corrupt/ bad. And try another PSU from a different machine. Good Luck!
