hum cyberlink BD advisor said I am good, other than my OS and my video connection... I currently have a normal monitor plugged in, so not worried there. Can dual boot to vista if it wants me too, that doesn't matter.
How far along is ripping blue-ray to remove all this DRM crap? I assume all...
Sounds like the ICT thing only happens (if the disc even has it) if you are trying to output via component or something. Since I would be outputting from a HDPC video card to a HDMI port on a TV... sounds like I would be in the clear? Is a PC considered a legit playback device?
What is...
Hi,
I am running windows xp pro 64 bit, and a evga GeForce 8800 GTX. My questions are
1) It says HDCP enabled on the box. Does this mean if I got a blue ray player on my computer, I could export the picture to my TV at the full 1080p? Or am I limited in what reso I can support(due to...
I like the newest [H] review how it used both methods to compare. It's nice to see BOTH... otherwise if you only get apples to oranges, you may see "both get the same fps, but this one lets me enable grass".. that doesn't really tell me that much. It may be worth saving $200 if all I lose is...
My q6600 is doing 3.0 ghz easily. Has more room, but happy with where it's at.. useing a themalright ultra 120 and a 520 watt psu.
I'm glad I bought it during the last price drop. Waiting 4 months for a $250 price drop wasn't worth it to me.. thats $60 a month "extra" I paid to have my...
No pics I was in a hurry.. it was a very flat finish on the heatsink. Sanded through all the zinc so it was all copper, then smoothed it out up to 600 grit sandpaper (need to find higher for next time).
Thermal compound I am pretty good at applying.. did paper thin layer smoothed out with a...
My heatsink is already lapped.
Did think of lapping CPU side, I thought they were pretty precise.
To get temps in OCCT.. open up speedfan, THEN open up OCCT
As far as I can tell.. the 775 mounting holes are square? As long as they are square, it can go on either way.. the mounting surface is flat all over, it doesn't care which way it is sitting.
Find someones ram you can borrow.. switch out ram.
Find someones CPU you can borrow. Switch out CPU.
Find someones PSU you can borrow. Switch out PSU.
Find someones videocard you can borrow. Switch out videocard.
If none of those, its mobo
Sounds like either core temp or speefan is bugged.
From the core temp faq
So... they are both getting the same # from the core. One is assuming the max is say.. 100C.. The other is assuming the max is 90C. This is why you get a difference of 10C in the readings.
Would have to know what...
Take everything out of the case. Just set up cpu + ram + videocard + heatsink + [su. Hookm it up, run it.. see if it still crashes. Take off heatsink, clean off gunk, add new thermal paste.. try again.
The timing difference is something like 1%... not worth freaking out over or buying a new set of ram for an already functional computer.
I got the cheapest g.skill ram.. runs at 333 mhz (1:1 fsb) doing 4-4-4-10,, not really convinced that better ram with better timings would be worth it.. and...
