What is so hard to believe about the price? It is a brand new model with high end features. To expect it to release at retail for the same price as the 2 year old u3011 is just silly.

I don't think it will. The new battery is backwards compatible with older models, but the old battery is not compatible with newer models. Kind of how you can play Gamecube games on the Wii, but not Wii games on the Gamecube.

I don't know of any 1440x900 monitor that would be "short" enough when in portrait to match the height of these 27" monitors. They'd all be slightly taller. Also, you've got the issue of your portrait displays only being 900 pixels wide. That's kind of limiting, in my opinion.

Loud, water gets filthy, requires regular maintenance, and makes your room humid. Those were fun back in the day, but we have some much more refined options these days. :)
