no, it has nothing to do with the power profiles - its set on max performance regardless of battery/ac power. it WAS running at 2ghz until i restarted at which point it was only 1.5
My Centrino M has recently decided to run at a max of 1.5ghz instead of 2ghz for absolutely no reason. How can I fix this?? It only runs @ 1.5ghz when windows starts up

I am about to start a lot of audio editing which will require loads of ram. As of right now I only have 1gb but I am wondering if there is any way to create virtual ram say up to 4gb?

I have a Maxtor Onetouch 300gb external harddrive, a wireless router (with 4 ethernet ports) and a laptop. Is it possible to somehow rig the external drive to connect through the wireless hub so I can have some wireless hard drive goodness?
