    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

The smearing of white text on black background is the VA panel. That will not go away. The Light Bleed you may be able to get a better monitor, but its hard to know for sure, its a edge lit panel so its likely you will always have some light bleed.

    PG32UQX - ASUS 32" 4K 144 Hz HDR1400 G-Sync Ultimate

Thank you for your hands on impressions! Solidified that I will have to find a way to make the 48" OLED work.

Hmmmmmmmm. I can deal with the slower pixel response times easy enough, I'm not super sensitive to that. The noise though. That is a big bummer for me. I might have to reconsider a LG OLED.

    Is HDR worth it?

HDR is a complete marketing gimmick unless its a OLED panel, or has a FALD (Full Array Local Dimming) backlighting solution. Pay absolutely no attention to any monitor listed under HDR1000 (note many HDR1000 monitors are bad too, but that's where they cross over from bad to ok). As to the base...

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

This monitor looks absolutely fantastic, but I have one concern with it - the speed of its FALD when gaming. I know that the Nvidia GSYNC Module is specifically tuned to help with processing for very fast FALD, and I am interested in seeing how slow it is without that.

Any luck yet gettting a Macbook to drive 4k 120hz, or is that ship sailed?

What is the depth on that desk?

    GIGABYTE AORUS FV43U 43 inch 4k 144 HDR1000 QLED monitor

I am super interested in seeing how the heck they got a 1000 nit brightness with a direct backlit display.

Anyone ever find a mount for this TV (wall or desk) that works well with a standing desk that has up/down positions?

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

I think we can be pretty sure its the same panels used in other announced monitors: 32" - Same panel as Asus PG32UQ 43" - Same panel as Asus XG43UQ 48" - Same panel as LG CX 48.

The 32 inch 4k IPS 144hz's...(Update - this party is started) (wait for it...)

Given the size of the monitor we can be sure its not using FALD, so its essentially the Gigabyte version of the PG32UQ. Id guess ~$1200?

    LG 48CX

Yes, do not run the voltage refresher often. I would actually recommend you never run it, as the TV will run it itself from time to time, and thats usually enough. Turn the OLED off and give it some time. I highly doubt 18 hours of static content caused permanent burn in. Leave it off, let the...

    PG32UQX - ASUS 32" 4K 144 Hz HDR1400 G-Sync Ultimate

New mini IPS FALD with triple the zones will hopefully help with that.

    PG32UQX - ASUS 32" 4K 144 Hz HDR1400 G-Sync Ultimate

Anyway, to your point about the 60hz version having slow FALD - that is my worry with the 120hz. If it has the same FALD speed its straight up my dream monitor with HDMI 2.1 and USB-C, but I'm doubtful it will.

    PG32UQX - ASUS 32" 4K 144 Hz HDR1400 G-Sync Ultimate

I believe you are thinking of the PA32UCX, a 60hz variant, , not the UCG. The UCG is not out yet, and is the same 144hz panel used in the PG32ucx (these names man).
