Definitely the SteelSeries Rival. I picked this mouse up about a week ago and it's a dream for precision in FPS games and great to use in general.

It's definitely the firmware that's causing the erratic pings. Go back a version or two and it'll be back to normal.

I had the same issue with my R6300. I rolled the firmware back a couple of revisions and it solved the issue. All pings are back to <1ms.

My favorite mouse ever hands down. Almost perfect!

I have the original Sensei and I like the Taipan better. It's more comfortable and I can aim better with the Taipan. Not to say the Sensei has bad tracking or anything, it actually is super smooth but I prefer the Taipan.

After using this mouse for a night of Battlefield 3, I LOVE IT. I can aim so much better with this mouse than my Deathadder and many others that i switch around to. Highly Recommended!

Got mine from Amazon today. Seems very nice so far. Good tracking an solid build. The rubberized sides are nice too.
