    WTB Lian-Li v2000

Trying to find a black Lian-Li v2000... used okay, new even better. Anyone know any stores in the US who still have stock, or anyone have one sitting around they'd like to sell?

    LED flicker circuit?

Basically the circuit in this LED candle thing is a switch, a battery, a 47 ohm resistor, and an LED, and an IC (coverd under the usual black glue stuff). Shown below: http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/aa15/Carmina1972/tealight5.jpg I'd be looking to wire two red and 1 yellow LED...

    LED flicker circuit?

Hello all, been a while since I've been around but starting a new build and needed help trying to figure out how to do something and this was the first place I thought to come look for help. I need to find a way to make 3 LEDs flicker like a candle flame. I thought about trying to gut a...

What are the best 2gb sticks for overclocking?

Just got two sticks of Corsair CM2X2048-6400C5 with timings of 5-5-5-18. Not sure if I actually plan to use them but the price couldn't be passed up and I figured worst case senario I'll just eBay them at a profit. Anyone familiar with this RAM? Is it worth keeping around? The timings seem...

You'd be better off buying a...

Okay... I'm planning my next build (actually I've started the necessary mods for watercooling on a Lian-Li v2000) and was hoping to get a little idea of what you'd all think I should toss money around on: The current build: Asus A8N32-SLI Deluxe AMD Athlon 4000+ San Diego XFX GeForce 7900...

Walmart Gift Card after mispricing on SSBB

I've regularly seen signs posted at several different brick-and-mortars appologizing for errors in print advertising. "We regret that the $1000 37' LCD TV was a misprint and should have read 37" LCD TV..." I can't imagine who the "the world owes me" chump would be that would go screaming...

    Lian-Li case fixing

Dzien dobry! There's really no good way to repair annodized aluminum. Even body repairs on steel framed cars take several years to master and the imperfections are easily masked with body filler (Bondo). If you paint that panel after any repair you undertake you'll have an annodized case...

Trent Reznor Favors An ISP 'Tax On Music'

Growing up in Cleveland it's hard for me to think of Trent without... oh hell. No! Terrible idea!

    Lian Li V1000 and V1200

Yarp... it's a little deeper. It leaves a little more room for a longer PSU, easier install of a full-sized ATX MoBo without worry about capacitors hitting a longer CD drive, possibly better cable management space, and... well... a couple bucks. I suppose it also leaves a little more space...

Where to get OEM hardware for Lian-Li v1000?

I've got a stack of Lian-Li parts in my PartsCloset v2.0... you can come over and pick through everything for $10/oz. Actually... check http://www.frozencpu.com for OEM parts. If memory serves correctly I think they used to sell a clamshell of all sorts of random Lian-Li OEM parts (screws...

Leaving the side of case off?

You're completely fine with the side panel off. Assuming you don't have a dog or cat to get in and eat wires or a brother (with poor aim) who decides its a great idea to try to shoot you with a water gun - happened to me. I've known a lot of people who leave the case side off for just that...

    Lian Li 343 build help

RAM sinks are RAM sinks for the most part. Look for ones with a lot of surface area and make sure to have some way air is going to move over them. They're a good idea but if the air in your case is stagnant they're just about useless.

    painting case interior

I've used the "anodized" paint before. Keep in mind it tends to be somewhat thinner than "normal" rattle can spray paints. When the instructions say to apply thin coats and allow adequate drying time, follow those rules. Some rattle can paints you can just slather on and they're good to go...
