I do not know what to do with them. They worth anything? Or just throw them away?

He said they work fine.
 
are they the P, F or U version? looks like probably $100+ on fleabay...

Any working hardware is worth something to someone. Definitely don't throw them away.

And just briefly looking at the specs these are still very capable--can even have 10Gb uplinks.

theyre still going for $2-400 on fleabay so you could sell em or build yourself a network

Reasonable, but be ready to answer questions about them or discount if you don't know the answer as some answers may be a 'make or break' situation with a potential buyer's use case.
