Adrenalin 23.1.2 Release

Nice. Just DDU'd today to the previous version. If only I had waited! KAAAHHHN!

Wish they would fix an issue with my display drivers crashing and restarting my PC when I run OBS Studio with hardware encoding. Happens on my laptop with a 6800m with latest drivers.

What version of streamFX is installed?
If you haven’t already switch back to H.264 encoding. It’s not bullet proof but fixes it for many.

Looks like a beta driver.

And not on AMD's site yet for download.

Ah - found AMD link: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-rad-win-23-1-2-kb
Thank you. So weird that you can't find it. I even got an email from them. From the Adrenalin software itself it says I am up-to-date even now at Noon on the next day!!!

AMD is a clown show sometimes.

Normally I am happy to wait a day or 3 to install a new driver, gives time to see all the reports of 'It wiped my hard drive' and what not.

Except.....

I started Forspoken yesterday and optimised gpu drivers seems like a good idea.

I don't have streamFX installed. The software h.264 works, but my framerate suffers. Or are you talking about the h.264 hardware encoder?

How is Forspoken? Combat sounds cool. Can you co-op online w friends?

yeah, semi interested. only seeing ppl trashing it atm. But waiting for it to settle down.
A friend of mine got it when he purchased his 6800 (I don't remember if it was the XT or not), he's mostly complaining about how bad it currently runs on his machine so he is waiting for updates for either drivers or the game, probably both. PS5 users are also complaining about how it can take damned near 10 seconds for the map or inventory windows to open, and stuff like that.
I am more than happy to wait a few months, got lots to play at the moment and nothing here seems overly urgent.

I only got about an hour in last night - the graphics are awesome, I'm still in the initial exposition and setting up the story with not a lot of combat yet.

More tonight if I dont just pass out after work.

The game has a feel I like though, for what that is worth.

All settings at max and it runs smooth @4k, I do have a decent system though.
