New AMD gen only 1.x better than AMD's last gen...oof
You just need a new monitor.."No need to upgrade your hardware, no need to change your case, no need for a new power adaptor."
Shots fired.
Why would you need a new monitor? You just need a new monitor..
*with FSR...8K gaming as an important selling point? Really, AMD?
They literally transitioned from a comment about not needing adapters to an advert for the new Samsung 8k DP 2.1 monitor. Why would you need a new monitor?
People have been selling 4k for years as the future and now it's actually catching up now. So, what's your point?8K gaming as an important selling point? Really, AMD?
That it's an absolutely useless point for this and the next generation.People have been selling 4k for years as the future and now it's actually catching up now. So, what's your point?
I was scratching my head at their "Fluid Motion" and wondering if that was what it sounded like.FSR3 - frame generation.
Yep... the era of fake frames is now mainstream.
And coming in 2023. I am so excite since we had that trailer for this currently live trailer that announces a card that has a feature announced to come x months after it launches.FSR3 - frame generation.

1.7x RT performance puts their new flagship card about on par with a 3070. This pace of RT gap growth could take AMD entirely out of the market when the 50-series launches in 2024. New game development is moving pretty heavily towards RT. It's like AMD saw a moving target and decided to aim behind it.I'm glad for additional RT performance, but AMD is only saying 1.7x RT performance, vs Nvidia which did around 2.5x RT on their already faster RT core in Ampere.
AMD is falling behind on RT.

$600 cheaperI mean, lets be honest I dont think it will be as fast as the 4090. But AMD didnt make this a 450w card. I mean its 100w less and $500 cheaper....
I thought I heard 1.7x Raster and 1.6x RT. Not that it is that much different.I'm glad for additional RT performance, but AMD is only saying 1.7x RT performance, vs Nvidia which did around 2.5x RT on their already faster RT core in Ampere.

der8auer has shown the 4090 at 350w has 95% performance compared to 450w. That would make it still faster than the new AMD cards at same power requirements. NV really knocked it out of the park with the 4090.I mean, lets be honest I dont think it will be as fast as the 4090. But AMD didnt make this a 450w card. I mean its 100w less and $500 cheaper....
Makes me wonder if they will let AIB's do whatever they want and make power hungry cards with faster memory etc.
It's better than applauding 1600+ Dollar GPUsFeels ridiculous to me that we are applauding $1000 price tags on GPUs, but I guess that's where we're at now.
