Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PC)

I played this the other day got to the Rhino I thought the swinging through the building would be cooler but all you do is Spam R2.
Maybe I just need a bigger monitor to get the full experience.

Uncharted is out in Oct so probably Nov-Dec for Miles.

I'm assuming December. Uncharted was essentially two months after Spider-Man, I assume Miles Morales will be two months after that. Maybe if we're lucky, two months later we'll see Last of Us Remake in February.

The first game was fun enough (in spite of the multitudes of fetch quests) that I'm game for more. Hopefully it's more focused and less reliant on random robberies, car chases, enemy bases, etc.

Wait so this will be a full price game? The Miles Morales ultimate edition on PS5 with MSRP of 70 bucks included Spider-man Remastered. So why in the hell did the PC version of Spider-man Remastered cost 60 damn bucks when you could get BOTH games for only 10 bucks more on PS5 where console prices are usually higher anyway?

we don't know if they will be offering a PC bundle at launch of both games...either way these versions are the definitive versions with much higher quality ray-tracing and other graphical features not available on console

And I am talking about the PS5 versions which of course are the "definitive" console versions. Being able to have slightly better graphical options on the PC is NO reason someone should have to pay more as 99% of pc games run at better than console settings anyway. And usually the PC version of any game is at worst the same price as console but usually cheaper.

The POINT was this was clearly a rip off for pc gamers by having just one of the games launch first for a whopping 60 bucks when BOTH games on the PS5 only cost 10 bucks more at launch. Plus the PS5 version with BOTH games has been on sale plenty of times for 50 bucks or less. If they don't release a bundle on pc then we are looking at at least 110 bucks total for the two games on PC as opposed to 70 bucks on the PS5 even when not on sale. If they do release a bundle for the same 70 bucks price as PS5 then that is slap in the face to someone that just paid 60 bucks for one game that is only a month old and still needing some patches.

both the first game and Miles Morales were announced at the same time for PC...Miles Morales was announced as coming in Fall 2022 the same day they announced the first game was coming to PC...anyone interested in both games had the option of waiting for a bundle package...a 3 month wait is not all that long...I was going to buy Spidey 1 PC on Day 1 but made the decision to wait for them to fix a few things (HBAO+, ray-tracing)...now I'm just going to wait for the bundle

I did not keep up with the game enough to know exactly what was going on for PC at launch. I have the standard PS4 version and TBH it did not really do much for me but I only played it for about an hour. The PC version having DLSS 3 has me interested as I like to play around and test new features so I too will just wait for bundle.

DLSS 3.0 is exclusive to the 4000 series of cards...so you need to upgrade your GPU to be able to use it

Sony is charging what people are willing to pay. With Remastered still on the top sellers list (at #11) it seems like Sony picked the right price point. I wouldn't be surprised if Miles is $50, if not $60. If they bundle them both I doubt it would be for $70. Likely they'd do like $5-$10 off the price of buying them separately.

I think it was $50 on PS4. So probably $40-50 on PC.

Their new games will be $70, so I expect newer timed exclusive games to be $60-70 as well.

Wow, that pretty much seals the deal that I'll not buy a PS5 ever. Know a lot of PS games are coming to PC or at least plausible rumors, but didn't expect this one.
Everyone should be thanking Microsoft and Phil Spencer for showing that the PC is an awesome platform and leading the way for studios like Sony to follow suit to the PC.. Nintendo TAKE NOTE.....

Bigger crowds = more $... Everyone wins

I'd say it was more the over-all landscape and not MS specifically. There was already a trend towards more studios porting games to the PC before MS' current PC push. They certainly helped, but they don't deserve all the credit.

As for Nintendo, they don't really care. Nintendo does Nintendo things. Though, considering that there are 6 1st party Switch games among the top 50 best selling games of all time they really don't have much reason to stop doing their own thing.

Exactly. Game development costs go up, putting games on more platforms = more sales potential. And Microsoft and Sony are both preparing for a future without local hardware even if that is a decade or more down the road. The first step to doing that is to stop restricting games to a specific set of hardware, and then push subscription services.

Sony says it'll be 'at least a year' before PlayStation exclusives hit PC, unless they're live service games

PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst has let slip that, going forward, we can probably expect to wait "at least a year" before first-party PlayStation games hit PC...there's one exception to that rule, though: PlayStation's live service games, which we might see "day and date" with their console releases...

About what I expected. Of course they'll keep them on PlayStation for a year, maybe a bit more. I am assuming it will be closer to 12-16 months per game. Which isn't too bad. What is worrying is that they're working on almost a dozen "live service" games. Sony has done good with generally manageable single player games which has traditionally been what PlayStation exclusives were. I'd hate to see less Horizon Zero Dawns and more Overwatch/Fortnites.

Waiting until a game has all of it's issues ironed out and includes all the content is better in the long run anyway.

I was close...off by a few days

coming to Steam on November 18th...

I picked this up for PS5 for 23.00 on eBay I got past Rhino ended it ok game but you can tell the FPS isn't there on PS5 swinging through the city is a slideshow.

Miles Morales on PC is $49.99...so both Spidey games will set you back $110...I still haven't bought Spider-Man Remastered on PC yet...since I knew Miles Morales was coming in 'Fall 2022' I just waited, hoping for a bundle price...but it doesn't look like there's going to be any bundle...hopefully the first game will go on sale before November that way I can get them both for under $100 (Steam Halloween sale might be a good bet)

the Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC is a great comparison...Sony is offering both Uncharted games (1 major game and 1 game most consider to be a DLC/Expansion) for $49.99...so why didn't they do the same for Spider-Man (1 major game and 1 DLC)??

Probably because Spider-Man is a huge IP, especially with the recent movies. They can probably get away with it.

Glad that it is coming soon though. I might play them back to back.

Both games should have been released at the same time and the same price as the bundle on PS5. If anything we usually get games at 10 bucks cheaper so IMO $110 is a ripoff when even the launch price on PS5 was only $70 for the bundle. Oh well I can wait as there are plenty of other games that I want much more anyway.

Releasing both at the same time would probably be a bad idea. Nixxes isn't a huge studio and if they released both at once you're suddenly doubling (or more) the amount of work they have to do in order to update the games and address issues. Spider-man has had multiple major patches since release and it's likely MM will get the same kind of post-launch support.

Probably not that much work, both Spider-Man and Mike Morales use the same engine (and probably 85-95% the same code) since they did the enhanced edition for the PS4/PS5 versions. Having finished both games on PS5 I can tell you at least from a user's perspective, you won't doubt that MM feels like a rather large expansion DLC when you play it. It's definitely enough content to justify a standalone version, but you won't mistake that a lot of it feels like a very well polished Mike Morales Total Conversion Mod for Spider-Man.

the Uncharted games on PC are the exact same way- 2 games, one of which most people consider DLC...yet they both are being released together for $49.99...Iron Galaxy is not a huge studio compared to Nixxes...it's just greed...Sony realizes people are more likely to pay more for the Spidey games

Good to know. I liked the first Spider-Man game, but not that much. I'll just wait for a sale or super low price at CDKeys or something.

That’s a good point, still I think it’s better in long run that both games are given time apart. I’m not going to disagree on the price though. I think it would make sense at $30-$35. As much as I like the game I’m pretty hesitant at $50.

I also agree on the easement of the game. It feels like what you would see from a bigger, stand-alone, DLC. It makes some tweaks to gameplay though it’s really only obvious if you play them back-to-back. Getting MM and Spidy Remastered for $70 at the launch of the PS5 was worth it, but any more than that seems a bit much.
